Dr. Clay J. Cockerell is a world-renowned specialist in the care and diagnosis of skin conditions.
An internationally recognized pioneer in his field and a board-certified Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist, Dr. Cockerell has been practicing medicine since 1986. He currently serves as Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Pathology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Director of the Division of Dermatopathology, in addition to managing his own practice, Cockerell Dermatopathology based in Dallas, TX, a state-of-the-art, full-service laboratory specializing in Dermatopathology services for dermatologists and other physicians.
Dr. Cockerell holds leadership roles as Founder and President of Cockerell Dermatopathology in Dallas Texas, Scientific Advisor at PTV Sciences, L.P., and has served as a member of the AmeriPath Board of Directors.
He is also active in a number of highly regarded medical groups and is the past President of the American Academy of Dermatology and Past-President of the Texas Dermatological Society among others. Dr. Cockerell previously served as the Secretary and Treasurer and as a Member of the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Dermatology, as well as the past President of the Dallas Dermatological Society.
Dr. Cockerell has evaluated well over two million biopsy specimens to date and is considered one of the foremost authorities in his field.

Brand McCarley joined Cockerell Dermatopathology in March 2013. He was an integral part of the implementation team that launched Cockerell Dermatopathology in July 2013. Brand currently serves as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and assists Dr. Cockerell and the management team with numerous business development and educational projects.
Before joining Cockerell Dermatopathology, Brand held several positions within Quest Diagnostics | Dermpath Diagnostics, including VP of Marketing, Director of Business Development, Regional Sales Manager, and Territory Manager. Brand also held sales positions with McKesson and Physician Sales & Service.
Brand received his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Florida State University.

Kim Campbell is the Founder of the Dermatology Authority, which provides Dermatology providers and businesses growth strategies. The Dermatology Authority does this by adding providers, practices, and consultative services. She has created strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders, publications, societies, and industry vendors. Kim has coordinated seminars, conferences, meetings, and networking events to increase career and business education to the market.
Kim started with A. Bernard Ackerman to launch the Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology and went on to become the Director of Professional Relations for Dermpath Diagnostics. Where she developed programs for CME, board reviews, career resources, and practice growth tools. She has successfully consulted with hundreds of Dermatologists to help them obtain the tools they need to thrive. She has her MA is Health Administration, with more than 18 years of experience in the Dermatology market.
Kim has lectured at the following events: Real World Dermatology 2018, ODAC 2018, ODAC 2017, Cosmetic Boot Camp 2017, Generational Dermatology 2017, 9th Annual Dermatology Congress 2017, and SCALE 2016.
