    Theodore Rosen, MD < Back Theodore Rosen, MD Faculty Dr. Rosen, a native of Chicago. attended Michigan State University as a National Merit Scholar, and graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School cum laude. He trained in internal medicine at the University of Alabama and in dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine, where he currently serves as Professor and Vice-Chair of Dermatology. Dr. Rosen previously served on the Board of Directors and is a past Vice-President of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is also a past-President and Secretary-Treasurer of the Houston Dermatological Society and prior Chairman and Secretary-Treasurer of the Dermatology Section, Southern Medical Association. Dr. Rosen was the 2017 recipient of the AAD Thomas G. Pearson Memorial Award for lifelong achievement in education, and the 2021 recipient of the Robert J Freeman Memorial Mentoring and Leadership Award from the Texas Dermatology Society.     Jennifer Cather, MD < Back Jennifer Cather, MD Faculty Jennifer C. Cather, MD, FAAD, is the Medical Director and Founder of Mindful Dermatology and Modern Research Associates in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Cather earned her BA in Chemistry at the University of Texas, graduating Magna Cum Laude and her MD at the University of Texas-Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. After completing anInternal Medicine internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, she completed a Clinical Research Fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center and a residency in Dermatology at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. She is licensed to practice in Texas and California and is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Cather has been an investigator in more than 275 clinical research trials in the areas of psoriasis and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma and has authored or co-authored numerous abstracts and manuscripts. Her writing has appeared in such publications as the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, The British Journal of Dermatology, the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology, Cutis, Dermatologic Therapy, and Dermatologic Clinics. Dr. Cather lectures on investigational therapies in psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, melanoma, and graft versus host disease, and she frequently serves as a consultant within these disciplines.     Whitney High, MD, JD, MEng Whitney High, MD, JD, MEng Faculty Professor of Dermatology Vice-Chairman, Dermatology Director of Dermatology Clinic Director of Dermatopathology Laboratory, University of Colorado Whitney A. High, MD, MEng, a native of Colorado, is the Vice Chairman of Dermatology, and the Director of both the Dermatology Clinic and the Dermatopathology Laboratory at the University of Colorado. He is board-certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology. He also has certification in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene. After practicing as a chemical engineer in the industry, Dr. High returned to medical school to receive his medical degree from the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine. Dr. High completed his dermatology residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident. He completed his dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Colorado. Dr. High is appointed to the Departments of Dermatology & Pathology at the University of Colorado. His research laboratory was the first in the world to discover gadolinium in the tissue of patients with nephrogenic systemic fibrosis. Dr. High also has a degree in law from the University of Denver. He has authored 4 textbooks, 40 chapters, and more than 80 medical papers. He has served as an editor/editorial board member in many top medical journals in his fields.   • Jaculeen-Dano

    Jaculeen Dano, MD < Back Jaculeen Dano, MD Faculty Dr. Dano is a native of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. She was awarded a full academic scholarship to La Salle University in Philadelphia, where she majored in Biology/pre-med and Mathematics, played on the LaSalle tennis team, and learned how to correctly order a cheesesteak ("one or one wit"). Dr. Dano then completed her medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine where she was introduced to southern hospitality like not calling shotgun if you want the front seat or being patient while waiting for a lumbering streetcar and learned how to correctly order a Po-Boy ("dressed or not dressed"). he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society during medical school for her academic achievements. Upon Graduation from Tulane, she was also the recipient of several academic and service awards including the Murrel Kaplan Compassionate Physician Award and the Richard Freeman Prize that is awarded for outstanding leadership and overall contribution to Tulane University. Dr. Dano chose to continue her education at a rigorous hands-on program that also served indigent patients and completed two residencies at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. In 1993 she completed her first residency in Internal Medicine and subsequently finished her residency in Dermatology in 1996. She got to work with many great mentors and colleagues during these years. Dr. Dano has had her private practice in Austin since 1999 and has been named a Texas Super Doctor by Texas Monthly for several years. Dr. Dano sees adults and children for general dermatology including conditions such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, moles, and skin cancers. She performs surgery to remove skin cancers, moles, and cysts. In addition to her general dermatology practice, Dr. Dano is licensed in cosmetic dermatology treatments such as Botox, Dysport and fillers including Juvederm products, Sculptra, Radiesse, and Restalyn products. She also uses treatments such as Sclerotherapy to treat patients with varicose veins. Dr. Dano works with her aesthetician using topical therapies, peels, microdermabrasion and lasers with an emphasis on evidenced-based skincare and treatments proven to be safe and effective. In her free time, Dr. Dano is trying really hard to keep her three boys (four if her husband is included) in line. She is back to having to call shotgun for the best seat in the minivan and is proud to show her boys she has not lost her Philly tenacity. Some things come full circle. PS Home

    James Allred, MD James Allred, MD Faculty James Allred, MD, MS, FAAD, is a dermatologist at Access Dermatology Clinic in Franklin and Glasgow, Kentucky, and Gallatin, Tennessee. Originally born and raised in the western United States, Dr. Allred has called southern Kentucky his home since 2015. During that time, Dr. Allred has lectured at national conferences, published academic articles, and founded multiple technology startups dedicated to improving patient care. He also was a founding member of the education committee for Advancing Innovation in Dermatology, a nonprofit dedicated to improving patient care through novel technologies and techniques. Before then, Dr. Allred completed his dermatology residency in Austin, Texas, where served as chief dermatology resident, patented multiple medical devices, and was a recipient of teaching awards and speaking awards, including from the Texas Dermatological Society. He completed his medical school training at the University of Utah, where he served as student body president during his fourth year, co-founded the Bench-to-Bedside research program, and was among the first students to be chosen to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society for medical scholastic excellence. As an undergraduate at the University of Colorado at Boulder, he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with dual degrees in history with honors and summa cum laude in anthropology, where was chosen as the graduation speaker, having received the outstanding undergraduate award and outstanding senior thesis award in 2003. Dr. Allred is married with five beautiful children and has two large dogs. He gets the greatest enjoyment in life from them, especially when introducing them to his first love of the outdoors. One annual highlight for him is where he is able to take his family every year to the Colorado Rockies, where he leads the first and only continuing medical education hike that teaches dermatologists from around the country about how the environment (i.e. plants, sunlight, insect bites, etc) can negatively affect the skin. In 2021, Dr. Allred decided to establish Access Dermatology Clinic as the method to synthesize what he has learned as a clinician and an innovator to creatively and compassionately serve the people of southern Kentucky and northern Tennessee.     Mark Lebwohl, MD < Back Mark Lebwohl, MD Faculty Dean for Clinical Therapeutics and Chairman emeritus of DermatologyIcahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Mark Lebwohl, MD, is the Kimberly and Eric J. Waldman Professor and Chairman, Kimberly and Eric J. Waldman Department of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, New York, USA He received his degree in medicine from Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine, as well as his residency in dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. His key interests in clinical research include skin cancer and inflammatory skin diseases including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis. Vitiligo and alopecia areata. Dr. Lebwohl identified one of the first topical therapies approved for skin cancer and precancerous lesions. In addition, many of the systemic and topical therapies for psoriasis and atopic dermatitis were investigated or developed in the Department of Dermatology at Mount Sinai. Dr. Lebwohl has authored or co-authored nearly 500 original peer-reviewed original reports, 400 invited articles and other publications, and approximately 250 abstracts. Notably, he is the author of the first atlas, Atlas of the Skin of Systemic Disease, which is dedicated to cutaneous manifestations of systemic disease and co-editor of Treatment of Skin Disease, a leading textbook in dermatology that has been translated into several languages, won several medical book awards, and is in its 5th edition. Dr. Lebwohl is the founding editor of the Journal of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis and of Skin, the Journal of Cutaneous Medicine. He has served on the editorial boards of the Journal of the European Academy of Dermato-Venereology, the Latin American Journal of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis, the Journal of Skin Cancer, and the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. Currently, he is editor of the dermatology section of Scientific American Medicine. In addition, as a renowned expert in dermatology, Dr. Lebwohl is frequently an invited visiting professor and speaker at universities, medical centers, conferences, and symposia worldwide. Active in a number of professional organizations, Dr. Lebwohl is an honorary member of the French Society of Dermatology and the Canadian Dermatology Association. He is past president of the American Academy of Dermatology and Chairman Emeritus of the Medical Board of the National Psoriasis Foundation. Dr. Lebwohl serves on the International Psoriasis Council. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Lebwohl has been the recipient of many awards, such as the Presidential Citation from the American Academy of Dermatology for his service to the AAD on psoriasis and for his work with the Psoriasis Foundation. Furthermore, he has received Lifetime Achievement Awards from the National Psoriasis Foundation and American Skin Association and has been recognized as a Leader of Distinction by the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology for his work in psoriasis. In addition, Dr. Lebwohl was the honorary chairman of the 1st World Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis Conference held in Stockholm, Sweden in 2006 by the International Federation of Psoriasis Associations and its patron, His Majesty King Carl Gustav of Sweden. After earning dual bachelor of science degrees in bacteriology and genetics from the University of Wisconsin, Dr. Bhatia completed his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine before completing residencies in internal medicine and dermatology at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.     Joy Mosser-Goldfarb, MD < Back Joy Mosser-Goldfarb, MD Faculty Joy L. Mosser, MD, is an attending dermatologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Director of the Pediatric Dermatology Residency Program at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Mosser is board certified in dermatology and pediatric dermatology. Past clinical studies have included the use of topical steroids for atopic dermatology, tacrolimus for atopic dermatitis, pimecrolimus for atopic dermatitis, and lactic acid for ichthyosis vulgaris. Her educational activities include lectures to dermatology residents at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, pediatric residents at Nationwide Children's Hospital, and family practice residents at Grant Hospital.     Andrew Weinstein, MD, MPH < Back Andrew Weinstein, MD, MPH Faculty Andrew H. Weinstein, MD is a Miami native and is a product of the Palmetto public schools. He earned a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Florida and went on to the Medical Scholar’s program at the University of Illinois. While a medical scholar, Dr. Weinstein completed his M.D., as well as advanced course work in public health and research methods. Dr. Weinstein returned to the University of Miami for internship in the Department of Medicine. Additionally, he completed a fellowship and residency in the Department of Dermatology at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Weinstein is a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and a Voluntary Associate Professor at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. While in the Department of Dermatology, Dr. Weinstein received fellowship training, spending two dedicated years performing clinical trials. As an expert in methodology, Dr. Weinstein has reviewed numerous publications. He is well published in the field of dermatologic therapy. Dr. Weinstein has held numerous leadership roles in dermatology. He has earned the national recognition of his dermatology colleagues by serving on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Dermatology and by being elected as the Chair of the Advisory Board as well as being nominated 2021 FSDS Surgeon of the Year.     Nnenna Agim, MD < Back Nnenna Agim, MD Faculty Nnenna Agim, MD is an experienced dermatologist board certified in both general and pediatric dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor in Psychology following which she trained in Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, TX. She stayed on for an internship in Internal Medicine at Parkland Hospital before completing Dermatology residency training at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, serving as a chief resident. She returned to Houston to complete a Pediatric Dermatology fellowship with Baylor College of Medicine at the world-famous Texas Children’s Hospital, following which she returned to Dallas to build a Pediatric Dermatology Practice and Program. A former Associate Professor of Dermatology, Division Chief and Program Director at the University of Texas Southwestern Dallas and Children’s Hospital Dallas, she served for over twelve years caring for patients and creating educational programs for medical students and residents, including the establishment of a fellowship program which graduated other successful Pediatric Dermatologists now practicing within and outside the United States. Over the years, she has lectured locally, regionally and nationally. Her authorship in these areas of expertise is extensive and she has been fortunate to write, review or edit manuscripts for many of the major medical and dermatology journals: Pediatric Dermatology, Pediatrics, Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, JAMA Dermatology, etc., textbooks, popular reference resources like VisualDx, and patient directed articles on preventive health. She is quite honored to have been selected by peers as a Top Doctor/Pediatric Specialist in Dallas for the last 7 consecutive years and a Super Doctor of Texas for the past five years. Following the closure of the clinic at Children’s Health Dallas, she joined North Texas Dermatology Associates.     Joseph Merola, MD, MMS < Back Joseph Merola, MD, MMS Faculty Joseph F. Merola, M.D., M.M.S. , a leading clinician, researcher, and clinical investigator who treats immune-mediated diseases such as psoriasis/psoriatic arthritis and lupus, has been named Chair of Dermatology . Dr. Merola, who joined UT Southwestern October 16, 2023. came from Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston. He held many leadership positions there, including Vice Chair of the Department of Dermatology in Clinical Trials and Innovation, Director of the Clinical Unit for Research Innovation and Trials, Director of the Center for Skin and Related Musculoskeletal Diseases, and Director of the Harvard Combined Internal Medicine-Dermatology Residency Training Program. He received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and a Master of Medical Sciences degree from Harvard Medical School. He then completed an internship at the University of Pennsylvania, a residency in dermatology at New York University Medical Center, and both a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in rheumatology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. “The multidisciplinary skills, clinical expertise, and leadership record that Dr. Merola brings will expand the Department of Dermatology’s tradition for excellence and further enhance our institution as a national hub for discovery and innovation,” said W.
